My Story

Having climbed the 3 Peaks back in 2017 (and because of my Irish roots) I'd always wanted to climb the '4th' peak, Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland.

8 years later, the perfect opportunity popped up and I can combine raising money for a wonderful charity close to our family's hearts, get fit and tick one more off the bucket list ! 

On the 13th of September I'm going to attempt to climb 7 of the highest peaks in the Mourne mountains and would love to smash my fundraising target of £750.

Action Cancer provides prevention, detection and support services, as a local charity, all money donated stays within Northern Ireland. 

For every £1 raised, 82p is spent on providing the range of much-needed services. The charity must raise £4 million each year in order to provide free services to users including breast screening for women aged 40-49 and 70+ (outside the NHS range), skin cancer detection, health checks, counselling services and therapeutic services.

Action Cancer aims to support 20,000+ people across Northern Ireland each year by providing these services and rely on the support of our amazing volunteers and fundraisers to do so.
